Bay City Recreation Area
Bay City State Recreation Area is located on the shores of Saginaw Bay. This area is popular for its freshwater and coastal wetlands on the Great Lakes, the Tobico Marsh. Bay City State has a mile of sandy shoreline and over 2,000 acres of wetland woods, wet meadows, cattail marshlands and oak savannah prairies, which makes it a haven for migratory birds.

Located on the shore of Saginaw Bay, Bay City State Park is home to Tobico Marsh, one of the largest remaining freshwater coastal wetlands on the Great Lakes. Featuring over one mile of shoreline and 2,000 acres of wetland woods, this area is an ideal place to birdwatch. A visitor center, exhibits, interactive displays and nature programs are available to visitors of the park. Park activities include wildlife viewing, hunting, swimming in Lake Huron, picnicing and fishing.
